How did I get it?:
NetGalley- Thanks to All Night Reads.

Christy has the guy. The terrorists have been taken care of, and she has a shot at becoming popular. Life is GREAT! Until they find her. Now she must run and leave behind everything she knows, including herself.

Christy is discouraged to find that nothing is different once she gets home from her trip to DC. In fact, the bullying is worse than ever. When one of the guys from DC show up at her high school, however, everything changes. Unfortunately, the terrorists show up and now Christy and the guy that makes her heart all but stop, must not only find a way to escape, but also a place to hide.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series Watched. I was happy to see the sequel come up on NetGalley. I didn’t think that it was as good as the first book, but Protected is still an intriguing and gripping read, which doesn’t take long to read at all.

I enjoyed seeing Christy’s journey after being thrown into the Witness Protection programme. She became a tougher and physically stronger character through everything that had happened to her. She’s a likeable character. She’s an intelligent character, although she does make some stupid decisions at times. I like the character Alex, but I’m doubting him for some reason. I’m convinced he’s going to be a bad guy. I have no reason why, he just seems shady to me.

I thought Protected was a decent read. I’m not rushing to read the next in the series, but it’s definitely on my radar.

Would I recommend it?:
