Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s list is Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR list (to be read). This list was incredibly difficult to limit to just ten books. Mainly because my TBR list is ridiculous.

I’ve decided to split it into 5 books on my kindle and 5 ‘real’ books. I’ve went for books that I actually have, not ones I’m anticipating, because again…we could be here all day if I do that!

Kindle books:

All The Truth That’s In MeJulie Berry– I’ve had this book on my kindle for a while now. I’ve heard such mixed opinions about it, so I can’t wait to read it to form my own opinion!

Not A Drop To DrinkMindy McGinnis– Another book that I’ve had waiting to be read for a while. I was a bit scared of the hype around it, so I thought I would wait until it had died down a little! Again, I’ve heard really mixed things about this book, so I can’t wait to dive in and see what I think!

Ten Tiny BreathsK.A Tucker– I’ve heard so much about this series. I really need to read it, don’t I?

Picture Me GoneMeg Rosoff– I’ve had my eye on this one for a while. So I’m intrigued to see if it’s as good as I’m anticipating!

Johnny’s GirlPaige Toon– I’m not ashamed to be a fan of chick-lit. I really like Paige Toon’s writing. It’s deeper than your average chick-lit.

‘Real’ books:

Wedding NightSophie Kinsella– I used to be such a huge fan of chick-lit, but since blogging, I’ve definitely lost some of that love for it, because I’m reading different genres and really enjoying them! I’m intrigued to see if one of my favourite chick-lit writers can interest me enough in their latest book!

Dear Killer- Katherine Ewell– I’m trying to read more debut authors this year. This is a debut that I’ve heard a lot about, so I’m excited to get to!

TapeSteven Camden– This is another book that’s on my radar as a 2014 release. I love the bright cover!

Birthmarked- Caragh O’Brien– This is a series that I aim to start this year. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. It’s time to explore it!

Dead Girls Don’t LieJennifer Shaw Wolf– My sister bought me this book for Christmas. I still haven’t got around to reading it yet, but putting it on one of these lists will hopefully inspire me to pick it up soon. I really like the sound of it!

Have you read any of the books on my Spring To Be Read list? What did you think? What do you want to read in Spring? Please feel free to leave your link to your Top Ten posts and I’ll stop by!

  1. Great list Chrissi 🙂 I haven’t read any of them but I have copies of Birthmarked, All the Truth & Ten Tiny Breaths and the rest are all on my wishlist! I feel bad that I’ve had Birthmarked since the day it came out in hardback and I still haven’t read it. Hope you enjoy them all!

    My Top Ten Tuesday!

  2. I have read Birthmarked and I quite liked it. I haven’t seen that cover for it though! So different from the one I have. I really want to read Dear Killer and Not A Drop To Drink. Good plan to wait for all the hype to die down on that one. Great list 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my TTT 🙂

  3. Ten Tiny Breaths! Ahhhh! One of my favorite NA books. Don’t stop with that one, either. One Tiny Lie almost surpassed the first book, IMHO.

You’ve got some great reading ahead of you. 🙂

    My TTT.

  4. Great picks this week! I read and quite enjoyed All The Truth That’s In Me, although it wasn’t what I was expecting at all. I have Not A Drop to Drink and I really need to hurry up and read that one myself. I’m hoping to get to Dear Killer soon as well. I hope you manage to read them all and that you enjoy them 🙂

  5. I’ve heard a lot about Ten Tiny Breaths and Not a Drop to Drink as well. All of your others are brand new to me, so I’ll have to check them out on Goodreads! As always, each week I find more and more books to add to the TBR pile 🙂

  6. Have not read any of these Chrissi but agree with so many! All the Truth That’s in me was shortlisted for carneige today which means I REALLY want to read it! Not a drop to drink has been on my radar for ages but I don’t own it but it sounds stunning! Ten Tiny Breaths is also on my radar and have heard great things about it and I just know I’m going to love it so I hope you do too!
I need to read Johnny be Good but it’s nice to know you want to read the next one in the series! 😀
Hope you enjoy all of these books Chrissi, you’ll have to let me know what you think about them!

  7. All the Truth That’s In Me was one of my favorite books of last year. I cried. I’m not ashamed to tell you how much I loved it, and I’m crossing my fingers that you’ll feel similarly. I also really liked Dear Killer. I like the premise slightly more than the writing itself but it’s still pretty good.

  8. I’ve been wanting to read All the Truth That’s In Me — thanks for the reminder! The only book on your list that I’ve read is Picture Me Gone, which for me wasn’t nearly as good as some of the other books I’ve read by this author. Looks like you have some great reading lined up. Enjoy!!

    • You’re welcome! I forget about books that I’ve been meaning to read all the time. I’ve heard good things about Meg Rosoff so I might check out more of her books if I like her writing!

  10. Great list! I’ve really liked All the Truth That’s In Me, Ten Tiny Breaths, Not a Drop to Drink, and Dead Girls Don’t Lie. I think you’ll enjoy all of those. I read Dear Killer and so far it’s my least favorite books of 2014 so I’m interested to see what you’ll think.

  11. Not a Drop to Drink was really interesting in that it was different from a lot of other stories out there. It doesn’t do what you expect it to. It was also a super quick read. Definitely worth it!

  12. Same here with chick-lit! I’ve been reading less and less of it as the time moves on and I really dislike that. Sophie Kinsella is my all time favorite author in that genre, I need to read her latest release too! And yes! You’ve got to read Ten Tiny Breathes–that book was so full of feels and still makes me so emotional. I hope you enjoy it 🙂

  13. I love that cover of Ten Tiny Breaths and I looked at it about 20834 times on Netgalley but I decided not to read it…not sure why now. I’ll have to add it to my HUGE TBR.

  14. All the Truth That’s In Me, Ten Tiny Breaths, Dear Killer, Picture Me Gone… yeah, I’ve got a few of these just waiting for me to get some more time from somewhere too!!

  15. You really need to read Ten Tiny Breaths! It was one of my first NA novels, and it’s probably one of my favorite in the genre. But I’ve been wanting to read All the Truth That’s In Me, so you should read that one first so I can hear what you think 😉

  16. I’ve heard that Not A Drop To Drink is a great read! It definitely sounds pretty unique. I recently read Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella, and loved it, so I’m excited to see what you’ll think of Wedding Night, too. Awesome picks 🙂
