Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you’re adding to your shelves, be it buying or borrowing. From ‘real’ books you’ve purchased, a book you’ve borrowed, a book you’ve been given or an e-book they can all be shared!

This week I left my job 😦 I’m starting university in September for a one year postgraduate course to train to be a primary school teacher (4-11 years old). The children and the staff got me loads of book vouchers so here is what I picked up with those!

PrizedCaragh O’Brien– I’m looking forward to continuing with this dystopian series.

Until I DieAmy Plum– I really enjoyed Die For Me, so I’ll try and read the next book soon!

ProdigyMarie Lu- After reading Legend, I just had to get my hands on a copy of the next book as soon as I could!

A Darkness Strange and Lovely- Susan Dennard– Here’s yet another series that I need to continue!

Lola and the Boy Next DoorStephanie PerkinsAnna and The French Kiss was cute, so I look forward to the next instalment!

It’s Not Summer Without YouJenny Han– I was pleasantly surprised by The Summer I Turned Pretty. Looking forward to this book!

Everything Leads To You and The DisenchantmentsNina LaCour- I’ve heard such amazing things about Everything Leads To You. I have to read it! The Disenchantments has been on my radar for a while, so I’ll also try to get to it ASAP.

Hunting LilaSarah Alderson– I have been intending to start this series for a while now too. Maybe my summer break is the time to do it!

What have you added to your shelves this week? Please feel free to leave your link to the haul post you publish and I’ll stop by!

  1. This is an awesome haul, Chrissi! I have to check out Prized – I’m in the mood for dystopian lately, and I really want to read Marie Lu again, too.
You’ve gotten a lot of really nice-looking books this week. I hope you’ll enjoy them all!
Happy reading, and have a great weekend.

    • Thanks Lexxie. I was very lucky. I managed to get quite a few books that were second in series. I’m trying to burn through series this summer! 🙂 I hope you have a great weekend too!

  2. ohh the Lila duology- I actually enjoyed those two books. Nothing amazing and the odd flaws but still enjoyable! I’ve not read any of the others though- well wait that is a lie. I did read prodigy halfway and gave up XD

  3. I’m kinda in love with the covers on your haul this week. So many pretty, summery-looking covers.

Prized is gorgeous. Seriously. I need to go check it out. I love Lola! Not *quite* as much as Anna, but it’s pretty close. Cricket Bell is one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. I still need to read Everything Leads to You and the Disenchantments. They’ve both been on my TBR forever.

I hope you love them all!

    • Thanks Kimberly! I hadn’t realised I had so many pretty summery-looking covers, but you’re totally right! I can’t wait to read Lola.. I’ll be all ready for Isla. 🙂

  4. It is nice that the people you worked with gave you these awesome books! I liked Prodigy :)! I really want to read Lola after falling in l-o-v-e with Anna :D. Happy reading!

  5. Amazing haul this week! I have been really eager to read both Everything Leads to You and The Disenchantments, I have seen so many great reviews for both of those. I ended up really liking The Summer I Turned Pretty and enjoyed the whole series. I hope you love all of your books 🙂

  6. Wow! That’s an awesome haul! You have great coworkers if all of those came from vouchers! I loved Prodigy! And I really like the cover of A Darkness Strange and Lovely.

  7. Oooh what a great haul! You know how I feel about Prodigy, and Lola is probably my favorite over Anna, but I guess we’ll see if that changes when Isla is released. Everything Leads to You is one of my favorite books this year, and I also have The Disenchantments on my shelf to read soon 🙂 I also recommend her first book, Hold Still. It’s darker than ELTY but still very good!

    • I’m very excited to read Everything Leads To You and The Disenchantments. I did think about picking up Hold Still. It’s good to know that you’d recommend it. I can’t wait to continue with the Legend series. I’m really looking forward to Lola too, hopefully I can read it soon.

  8. I’d be really interested in hearing your thoughts on both of Nina Delacour’s books. They sound really good, and I do need an excuse to pick them up.

Good luck with your university course, Chrissi, and happy reading!

  9. Aw, what a sweet gift! And you put it to very good use! I loved the Revenants series, and Legend (I thought Prodigy was even better than Legend, and Champion the best of them all!). I really want to read Everything Leads to You and the Birthmarked series too. Great haul, hope you love them, and good luck at University! 🙂

  10. Some of these books are pretty new to me except for Prodigy. Oh gosh, I really need to start reading that series. Well, I’ve been meaning to last year but other ARCs and books got in the way. Sighs.

Is Stephanie Perkins really great? I swear I’ve seen her books all around the blogosphere…. And she even conducted a signing here in the Philippines!

Hey, good luck to your postgraduate training! And have fun reading.
