Top Ten Authors I’ve Only Read One Book From But NEED to Read More

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s list is about the top ten authors that I’ve only read one book from but NEED to read more. This seems like it will be quite a tricky one for me, as most of the authors I’ve read…I’ve read more than one book from. Perhaps I’ll surprise myself as I go through them.

Jandy Nelson- The Sky Is Everywhere

I have a lot of love for this book. It is one of my favourite books that I read pre-blogging. I’m looking forward to reading Jandy Nelson’s latest book I’ll Give You The Sun. It’s been a long time coming!

Heather Demetrios- Something Real

I’ve only recently read this book but I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s writing style. It’ll be interesting to see what she writes next!

Amy Talkington- Liv, Forever

This is another debut this year, there have been so many promising authors that I’ve read so far this year. I can’t wait to see what Amy Talkington writes next.

Mindy McGinnis- Not A Drop To Drink

I’m very excited to read the next book in the series after being thoroughly impressed with Not A Drop To Drink!

Sally Green- Half Bad

This is another series that I can’t wait to continue. I’m wondering where this will go.

Marie Lu- Legend

Oh look at that! Another series I need to continue. I seriously have a series problem.

Emery Lord- Open Road Summer

I was really impressed with Emery Lord’s debut novel.  I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next!

Tess Sharpe- Far From You

This was another really brave debut which excited me for the author’s future!

Rachel Ward- The Drowning

I know that Rachel Ward has had some other books published, but this is the only book that I’ve read of hers thus far. I do fully intend to read more by her and SOON!

Alexia Casale- The Bone Dragon

The Bone Dragon was such a unique read. I’m so excited to read more from Alexia!

I’ve realised a lot of this authors were debut authors, and I have a lot of potentially exciting second books to look out for! Who have you got on your list this week? Please feel free to link me to your Top Ten posts and I’ll stop by.

  1. I haven’t read any of these authors! (Funny how that happens sometimes when you come across TTT posts- but it’s also one of the best parts!) I’ve recently heard some buzz around Liv, Forever and the cover is so intriguing!

  2. Oh I adored Amy Talkington’s Liv, Forever I was even able to do a little interview with her.

Not a drop to drink is another book where I loved the characters. I’m ready to read the second one.

Half Bad seems good…I always love some witch stories.
Legend is one that made it on my list, and seeing as how I have the full trilogy I need to get on that.

  3. So many of these books are on my tbr! Not a Drop to Drink looks really good, and I really want to read Half Bad too. 🙂

  4. I am dying to read Heather Demetrios. I need to get me a copy of Something Real fast. This is the second consecutive time I’m seeing Far from You. I have to check this one out soon too. 🙂 I’m still thinking about whether to read Open Road Summer. So I’m not sure if I’ll be picking that one up anytime soon. It’s great when you find debut authors whose work speaks to you, right? I have a couple of them in my list and the waiting period for their follow-up release is killing me! LOL 🙂 Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my TTT 🙂

  5. Oh gosh, I haven’t read any of these! I’ve heard great things about Legend, though. Hope the rest is good too!

  6. I’m very excited for Jandy Nelson’s new one as well. The Sky is Everywhere was fantastic! I’ve got Something Real sitting on my shelf waiting for me to make time for it. I’ve heard nothing but good things though. Lots of great picks and books I clearly need to check out. Thanks for stopping by!

  7. Oh wow, I need to read so many of the books on your list! Not a Drop to Drink is near the top of my TBR – I bought it on sale a few weeks ago, and I can’t wait to start it soon. And Legend and Open Road Summer! I need to read these! Great list, Chrissi!

  8. Far From You is on a lot of lists this week! It’s the first I’ve really heard a lot of buzz about it… and now I really want to read it!! I am also super excited about Jandy Nelson’s new book. I’ve had it since June and have been a bad summer reader and not read it yet!!! Must do that soon!

    My TTT

  9. GREAT list! I totally agree on Mindy McGinnis too, Not a Drop to Drink was SO good, I can’t wait for In a Handful of Dust! And I really want to read Something Real, Half Bad and Far From You! Oh, and all the Jandy Nelson! I hear such great things. Definitely finish the Legend series too- each one gets better!

  10. Wow, I read your list and all I could think about is how to manage my time better to make way for more reading time haha! I haven’t tried any of these authors although some of them are already on my tbr list or on my book shelf. Now I feel bad, I really need to find time to get back into reading a lot of books again.

  11. There are definitely some books here on the top of my TBR pile, but there’s a few I haven’t even heard of before! The Bone Dragon looks super interesting 🙂

I’m at work so I’m under a different log in, but this is Elizabeth from so long and thanks for all the fish!
