Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2015 — bookish, blogging or otherwise!

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s list are our Top Ten Goals/Resolutions for 2015.

Keep up to date with my ARCs

I’m doing really well at the moment with keeping up to date with the ARCs that I have got! I hope to remain on top of things!

Continue to keep up with my blog despite being insanely busy!

I have been so surprised that I’ve kept up with my blog, despite training to be a primary school teacher. I honestly don’t know how I’ve managed it! I hope to maintain it, even though I’m going to get busier as 2015 progresses.

Try to fit more reading around my current uni/placement schedule

I may be keeping up to date with the blogging side of things, but my reading has definitely suffered. I hope to try and fit in some more reading! I miss it!

Try to keep Goodreads updated…

I fail at this every year. I forget about Goodreads. Let’s see if I can try and keep it up to date in 2015…

Start and complete some series

I have done really well with series this year. I need to continue to complete series that I’m halfway through and start some that I have waiting on my bookshelves.

Try to reread at least 2 books in 2015

I have many favourite books that I never get to reread, but I’d like to reread at least two in 2015.

Seek out some awesome debut authors to read

I have read some amazing debut authors this year and I look forward to reading some in 2015!

Read 100 books!

This is down on my usual yearly amount, but I’m trying to be realistic with my busy year ahead!

Find new bloggers to follow

I love exploring new blogs and finding new books to read due to their recommendations!

Be proud of what I’ve achieved!

I think sometimes we can get hung up on what others are achieving rather than looking at what we’ve personally achieved!

What are your goals/resolutions for 2015? Feel free to leave a link to your posts and I’ll stop by! 🙂

  1. I love exploring new blogs too! Its so much fun to look through old blog posts and see what other people are reading 😛 Ive started basing most of my book buying decisions on book blog recommendations now!

  2. I’d love to keep up/check out more author debut novels (am notoriously behind when it comes to this). Thank goodness for this book blogging community, I think I’m more updated/aware sooner of what’s new and amazing than I have been in the past 🙂

Best of luck with your resolutions next year 🙂 Happy New Year! My TTT

  3. Good luck with your resolutions and with your teacher training. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts this year. Two incredible debuts I’ve had a sneak peak at and would hugely recommend for next year are ‘The Dreamsnatcher’ by Abi Elphinstone and ‘The D’Evil Diaries’ by Tatum Flynn. Enjoy x

  4. I really need to keep up with my ARC’s. I have so many to read! And it’s so impressive that you’ve managed to keep up with blogging even though you’ve got your teacher training.

  5. I am also hoping to keep with my blogging even though I am currently undertaking a Masters…It is going to be a stressful year Uni wise but hopefully I will find the time. Good luck with your goals.

  6. I can’t read a book with out adding it to my currently reading shelf on GR, it’s a habit and I just get twitchy if I don’t do it! I like your goal of reading debut authors, that’s a good one as you never know what gem you’ll find. Happy New Year Chrissi and good luck with all your goals.

    • Thanks Trish. I definitely need to get into the habit of adding my currently reading onto Goodreads! 🙂 I found some good debut authors in 2014, so I’m hoping to do the same in 2015. Happy New Year! 🙂

  7. It seems like most of us are struggling to maintain balance between our blogs and the life we live outside the blogging community. But I hope you’ll succeed in your goals!
    Happy New Year! 🙂

  8. Great list of goals. A couple are on mine as well, though I haven’t figured out my reading goal for next year, thinking around 120. We’ll see. Good luck with your goals and Happy New Year.

  9. Well done on keeping your blog going during such a busy year. I hope your studies are going well too! I totally agree with you on the goodreads organisation. Mine is such a mess, I really need to cull my TBR as it is insane at the moment!
I also need to complete some series this year. I feel so behind!!!
Hoping you had a great Christmas, and Happy New Year for tomorrow! 🙂

  10. So glad you visited my TTT post, Chrissi – and that I discovered your blog also. I started out just reviewing on my blog, but have gotten more and more into promotion, which takes tons of time. It’s fun, but I’m not sure I’ve found the proper balance yet. And like you, I look for debut authors. There doesn’t seem to be as many listed in 2015 as normal, though.

  11. Love your last one! It’s always nice to grow and challenge yourself, but it’s easy to forget what we’ve already accomplished! I’d like to follow some more new blogs as well; I hope we both can find some great ones!

  12. Great goals – especially number 10! You’re right, we often forget what we’ve accomplished. I love the idea of making a goal to recognize and celebrate your own achievements. And good for you for keeping up to date on your ARCs – I guess one of my goals should have been to catch up on mine, because I haven’t always done a good job of that. Best of luck to you, and thanks for stopping by The Bookwyrm’s Hoard!

  13. These all sound like great goals — and I can relate to so many of them! Staying on track with ARCs is really hard, and despite my best intentions, I always end up behind. Wishing you a great 2015!

  14. I have really become behind in goodreads. I just got bored there. I don’t know. I hope to start being more active come 2015. I have way more fun with blogging now then goodreads and it used to be the other way around. Good luck with everything! Happy New Years!

  15. Aw, I LOVE your goals, especially the being proud bit 🙂 You are so right, we often forget to look at our accomplishments! I was SO behind on Goodreads until I got the UBB plugin, if it wasn’t for that I think my Goodreads may have imploded 😉 And I am on top of my ARCs as of now too, I like your goal of keeping it that way! Good luck with all the goals!

  16. Look at all these great goals. Glad you’re keeping up with your ARCs. I gave up on that one. I also find it hard to keep GoodReads updated—unless I do it immediately after posting a review to my blog. Freda’s Voice is running the 100+ Book Challenge again this year if you want help with your reading goal.

Good luck and thanks for visiting The Book Connection. Happy New Year.

  17. I love your goals and completely agree with that last one too! I want to keep that in mind for sure. *nods* I didn’t link up this time buuuut my biggest goal of 2015 will be to not have a daunting TBR! I actually just want to have 7 or less books on my shelf. NO MORE THAN THAT. *laughs manically at self*

  18. The fact that you manage to get ANY reading (and blogging!) done while training to be a teacher is like a superpower, so well done with that and good luck for 2015 🙂
