Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s list is a Valentine’s freebie! I decided to go for ten books which would be great to read around Valentine’s Day!
In no particular order here are the books that I picked (images go to Goodreads!)
Billy and Me- Giovanna Fletcher
Giovanna Fletcher is a great writer who creates characters you’ll find it hard to dislike!
Me Before You- Jojo Moyes (I had to… even though it’s a heart breaker!)
I know regular readers of my blog are probably getting very bored with seeing this book on my top ten lists, but it’s so good it HAS to be featured. Even if it reminds just one person of its existence that hasn’t got around to it yet. READ IT!
A Walk To Remember- Nicholas Sparks (I’m sorry, another sad one!)
I know that a lot of people roll their eyes at Nicholas Sparks’ books, but I really enjoyed this particular one! A sad, but beautiful story.
Everything, Everything- Nicola Yoon
This book surprised me. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I bought into the romance and I didn’t expect the twist…
Lola and The Boy Next Door- Stephanie Perkins
I know that this middle book in the companion series wasn’t a favourite for many bloggers, but I really loved it. It is my favourite for sure. I really liked Lola!
Simon Versus The Homo Sapiens Agenda- Becky Albertalli
I really loved this book. It was another that I had heard loads of hype around, so I was a little worried. I need not have been though. It was a fantastic read with great characters.
Maybe Someday- Colleen Hoover
I didn’t expect to feel so deeply with this book, but I sure did. I know it’s not for everyone, but I adored it.
Flat-Out Love- Jessica Park
This book really packs a punch! It’s full of humour but also romance and witty remarks. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
If You Could See Me Now- Cecelia Ahern
This book is on the lighter side with some magical realism. I think it’s adorable!
Eleanor & Park- Rainbow Rowell
I didn’t expect to enjoy Eleanor & Park as much as I did. I think it’s a great, unusual love to read about in YA!
Okay, I am determined to pick up Me Before You now that the movie adaptation is close to coming out lol (I keep on stalling on that book!). Billy and Me sounds interesting, wil have to check it out.
My TTT
Please read it, if you can Lianne. I think it’s amazing.
I am seeing Me Before you everywhere I look now! Looks like I will have to look into that one. 🙂
🙂 It’s so worth reading Sue! I adored it.
I am glad to see a few books that we share for this week’s TTT. I haven’t read A Walk to Remember but I saw the movie. I want to read it one day though.
The movie is so good! It’s a favourite of mine!
Oh, I love Lola and the Boy Next Door, and Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. Great list today, and thanks for sharing. 🙂
Here’s my TTT
Thanks Petra! 🙂
I loved A Walk To Remember. It is one of my favorite Nicolas Sparks books and movies. Great list, Chrissi and thank you for stopping by. 🙂
You’re welcome Jess! I’m so glad you enjoyed it too.
I really want to read Simon vs The Homo Sapien’s Agenda! It sounds adorable. And Flat Out Love sounds fun. The only Nicholas Sparks book I’ve read is The Notebook, but A Walk to Remember just seems too sad for me! Here’s my TTT 🙂
I know 😦 A Walk To Remember is a sad read.
Woah!!! We share two novels for this year’s list! 😀 That are Simon… and Everything Everything! I did a list last year, too and it includes Me before You and Eleanor and PArk. ❤
😀 ❤ We have similar taste!
You’ve got a lot of great books on here! Me Before You broke my heart, it should come with a warning label or something *warning: buy three boxes of tissue before reading this book* That might work. I really liked Maybe Someday and Eleanor and Park too. Great list! The others are all on my TBR list. Thanks for visiting my TTT! Happy reading!
You’re welcome! Thanks for the return visit. Me Before You definitely needs a warning label…
I haven’t read Me Before You but OMG I have been seeing the trailer everywhere and the movie looks so adorkable I must see it. Might try to read it before I do. I also haven’t read A Walk to Remember but I did love the movie. But I did love and adore Lola and Simon and Eleanor & Park! I still need to pick up Everything Everything! I also need to finally read one of the many Hoover books I have! Great list! My Top Ten
Thank you 🙂 I really do recommend Me Before You. It’s a stunning book.
I’ve never heard of it before but love the cover for Flat Out Love. *adds to my wish list*
My Top Ten Tuesday.
Yay! 🙂 I’m glad you like the look of it.
I don’t like sad books but I think I’ll add Me before you to my Tbr. 🙂 Great list!
My TTT ♥
Aw. It’s worth it, I promise.
I too really loved Me Before You and Simon vs! Both are very different books and I’d say the former does have more focus on love, but both have become my favourites. ❤
Here’s my TTT. 🙂
Thank you ❤ I'm glad that you loved both books.
I love everything Nicholas Sparks but that one is one of my favourites 🙂 Nice list!

Both Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda and Eleanor and Park made my list as well. I love them so much!! And Me Before You was such a good book!! And yes, a total heartbreaker for sure.
❤ I love sharing the same books with fellow bookworms!
I love Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. Great list, Chrissi! 🙂
Thanks Jess!
Great picks! A Walk to Remember is the only Nicholas Sparks book I’ve read and I think it was his best. Also Maybe Someday killed me! Great List!!
Thanks Liz! I loved reading both books that you’ve mentioned.
Everything, Everything, Eleanor & Park, and Maybe Someday are also some of my favorites 🙂 Me Before You is one I am hoping to read this month. The trailer for the movie made me need it 10x more!

You HAVE to read this book. It’s amazing.
Bah! I love so many of these books! Everything, Everything, Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda, and Lola and the Boy Next Door!
It’s because you have amazing taste! 😉
Eleanor and Park was a surprise for me too. I ended up loving it. 🙂 I haven’t read any of the other books you mention, although several are books I want to read, including Billy and Me, Me Before You, and Everything, Everything . . . Well, okay, all of them!
😀 Ha I hope you love them all when you get around to them.
I love Lola & Cricket! They were so adorable. 🙂 Here’s my Top Ten.
Such a cute couple!
I loved Everything Everything, and I’ve heard so much about Me Before You recently that I may have to read that one too. My TTT
I highly recommend Me Before You!
Me Before You! I NEED to read that book soon, especially since there’s the movie coming out 😀 Eleanor and Park is one of my favorite books. Great list! 😀

Dreamland Review.
Thanks so much! 🙂
With all of the film adaptation hubbub, I’m curious about “Me Before You” though I’m not 100% sure it’s a “me book.” Still… I like the cast so perhaps sometime I’ll check into the book. Also, I’m anxious to read “Lola” after loving book one in this companion series! 🙂
As always, thanks so much for visiting DUTSM blog, Chrissi. 🙂
🙂 You’re very welcome! I love visiting your blog. I hope you enjoy Lola!
I will have to check out several of these titles! Everything, Everything looks like a fun one. If You Could See Me Now looks cute too!
It’s a magical read.
Everything. Everything is such a cute book and I was surprised at hoe much I loved the romance in it. I want to read Me Before You but I don’t think I’m prepared for the emotional trauma that comes with it. 😛
You definitely need to be prepared for it.
Totally agree re: Flat-Out Love (one of my favorites!) and Maybe Someday! Great list!!
my TTT♥
😀 Thank you so much! I’m glad that you love them too.
The only one of these I’ve read is Everything, Everything, which I totally adored! Awesome list! 😀
Here are my Top Ten!
Thanks Tracy! 🙂 I really do recommend a lot of these books!
I totally loved Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, I’m so happy to see it on your list:)
It was one of my favourites from last year! 🙂
I am the one person in existence who hasn’t gotten around to Me Before You! Everyone is so excited about the movie, it has me intrigued. Great list, Chrissi!
I highly recommend it! It’s one of my favourite books of all time.
Lola, Simon, and Flat-Out Love all make me so happy! I love Me Before You and Eleanor & Park too, even though they make me cry. Great list!
I seem to love a weepy read! Ha!
Definitely agree with Everything, Everything! It was on my list today too! I haven’t read ANY of the others, which is just flat out wrong of me- considering that I think all but ONE is on my TBR. Shameful, I know 😉 But now I am even more excited to read them! Great list!
Ha ha! Don’t worry, there are so many books on other lists that I really need to get around to.
Oh, Eleanor & Park and Everything, Everything are such perfect choices!! I loved those. I haven’t read Simon yet, but it’s on my TBR!
😀 I hope you love it as much as I did!
I just read Me Before You and it killed me… I also loved Eleanor and Park and Lola! Your other picks look great as well – I especially want to read Everything Everything and Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda. But now I think I want all of them ASAP, since I’ve heard great things about most.

😀 I hope you enjoy them when you get your hands on them.
They’re ALL in my TBR. Wow, I’m getting behind. I need to read at least one of these for Valentines, and I think it’s going to have to be A Walk To Remember!
A fantastic choice!
