Back to School- Isadora Moon Goes To School (Mini Review)

Isadora Moon Goes to School

I thought I’d give this cute little book a mini review seeing as it’s back to school time for many children (and teachers=me!) in the U.K. I received this book unsolicited from Oxford University Press.

Synopsis:

Half vampire, half fairy, totally unique! Isadora Moon is special because she is different. Her mum is a fairy and her dad is a vampire and Isadora is a bit of both. She loves the night, bats, and the colour black, but she also loves the outdoors, using her magic wand, and the colour pink. When it’s time for Isadora to start school she’s not sure where she belongs – vampire school or fairy school?

Thoughts:

  • An adorable story which children will love.
  • I loved the message it gave about everyone being different in one way or another.
  • Gorgeous pink and black illustrations.
  • Very easy to read.
  • Engaging!
  • Part of a collection of books on Isadora Moon which I’m sure children would absolutely love!
