Every Sunday (hopefully) I shall be posting a personal post about my life as a primary school teacher. I currently work at a primary school teaching Lower Key Stage 2. My training posts on this subject were really successful and so therapeutic for me, therefore I’ve decided to continue posting on the topic. I will not be naming any children, or the school where I work. If personal posts aren’t your thing then feel free to skip these posts. I won’t mind! Bookish goodness returns as normal Monday-Saturday!
Wow! This week has been full on and with another packed one on its way, I feel like I’m going to be battling to get to my two week break. I can’t wait for it though. I plan to work most of next weekend and then actually have 2 weeks off. The luxury!
This week we had our school production for my year group. The children in my phase absolutely shone. They really were little stars. I (and they) may have completely exhausted (our performances are in the evening) but the feedback that we got was fantastic. 🙂 I was so proud of all of the children. We have a number of children that experience challenges in their lives, be it physical, social, emotional or mental and every child was included. Stepping back and looking at how inclusive my school is made me beam with pride.
I have parent-teacher meetings next week aplenty. They’re not my favourite thing to do, but hopefully they’ll go well! We’ll see…5 more working days until a break!
Good luck with the parent/teacher conferences. I hope they go well! Have a great week, Chrissi!
Thank you! 1 down, 2 to go!
