Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward To in 2018

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s list are the top ten books that we’re looking forward to in 2018. These could be debuts or just releases.

Love, Hate and Other Filters- Samira Ahmed

Love, Hate & Other Filters

I am so intrigued by this book! I’m hoping to read it before its release as I have an ARC! It sounds like a really important read.

Before I Go- Marieke Nijkamp

Before I Let Go

I’m super excited about this book. I loved Marieke’s debut and I’m intrigued to see where her writing goes next.

The Dangerous Art Of Blending- Angelo Surmelis

The Dangerous Art of Blending In

I’m all about representation in YA literature and this one looks particularly intriguing. It does involve abuse though so it looks like it’ll be hard-hitting.

The Upside Of Falling Down-Rebekah Crane

The Upside of Falling Down

This book sounds like it could be super intriguing about a girl with amnesia.

This Is Not A Love Letter- Kim Purcell

This Is Not A Love Letter

Another book that sounds incredibly gripping about a girl’s boyfriend that goes missing but there’s more to it than first meets the eye… I love the simple cover.

More Than We Can Tell- Brigid Kemmerer

More Than We Can Tell

I enjoyed Letters To The Lost so I’m excited to read this one!

Restore Me- Tahereh Mafi

Restore Me (Shatter Me, #4)

I can’t wait to read more from Juliette’s point of view!

12 Steps To Normal-Farrah Penn

12 Steps to Normal

Another book that instantly caught my eye. I’m intrigued about how this story will tackle alcoholism.

Leah On The Offbeat- Becky Albertalli

Leah on the Offbeat

I adore Becky Albertalli, so this book had to make it on here!

Love Songs & Other Lies- Jessica Pennington

Love Songs & Other Lies

I have to include a YA romance-type book! I think this one looks like it could be a fabulous.

What are you looking forward to in 2018? Let me know! Feel free to leave a link to your post and I’ll stop by.

  1. “Letters to the Lost” is one of those 2017 releases I intended to read, but *sadly* didn’t get around to discovering. That said, I am still curious about Brigid’s new 2018 release! 🙂 Hope you had an amazing Christmas season, Chrissi.

  2. I have Love, Hate & Other Filters on my list as well! The rest of your list looks awesome as well – I’ve actually read The Upside of Falling Down and had some mixed feelings about it. I’d be keen to know your thoughts if you get to it.

Definitely looking forward to the Brigid Kemmerer. I loved Letters to the Lost.

  3. I only recently heard about Love Hate and Other Filters, but it sounds like a fantastic premise and potentially an important read. I’m also really excited for the new Becky Albertalli book – though I have to admit I haven’t gotten to The Upside of Unrequited yet! Oh well, it’s good to have things to look forward to, right? Happy 2018 to you!

  4. A lot of people are excited for Before I let go. I haven’t gotten around to reading her first book but I have it on my shelf and I got to meet her briefly this year so I am excited for that reason I guess for her haha.
