Ten Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week’s list is all about books that we liked but on recall can’t remember much/anything about! The way I tackled this list is to look at Goodreads and see which books I rated highly but couldn’t tell you much about!

The Earthquake Bird

I read this book in 2012. I have no recollection of it whatsoever, but apparently liked it enough to give it 4 stars!

The Rescue

I read this in 2011. I have some recollection of it being moving, but other than that… I got nothing!

A Spot of Bother

I know I enjoyed this book at the time, but without looking at the synopsis, I couldn’t tell you what it was about.

The Rose Of Sebastopol

This is another one that I read back in 2011. I can’t remember anything about it! I know my sister enjoyed it!

A Respectable Trade

I adore Philippa Gregory’s writing, so I know I must have enjoyed this book. I’m a bit hazy on its details!

All She Wants

I remember this being quite witty!

The Solitude of Prime Numbers

Love the title of this book! I remember liking it but being frustrated by the ending. I couldn’t tell you what it’s about though.

I have no idea what this book was about!

The Heretic's Daughter

I remember liking the characters in this book!

The Summer House

I remember liking this but I couldn’t tell you what it was about!

How about you? Which books can you not recall? Feel free to leave a link to your post and I’ll stop by!

  1. Though I’ve read a few Nicholas Sparks books (they’re kind of “happy bookworm” reads for me – or those that end happily are), I’ve not read “The Rescue.” My general rule for picking what book I’d read next by him was whatever film was about to release. Since they’re haven’t been news ones lately, it’s been a while since I read any of his. Still… I’m thinking in the not too distant future, I might have to pick up one of his. 🙂

  2. Haha, perhaps it’s because they aren’t that popular? It’s a possibility but by no means am I dissing them because they look like decent books. The only author I recognize is Philippa Gregory other than that I’ve never heard of these books and their authors. Nice to see you have 10 at least. I’m having a hard time with my list.

  3. I thought this topic was a little tough but I guess if I used Goodreads more it might have been easier! lol

I’ve been wanting to read Philippa Gregory for a while…

  4. I haven’t read any of the books in your list but we followed a similar approach in creating our lists – I looked at my Goodreads shelves too and picked the ones I rated 4 stars but can’t remember much about.📚

  5. Hey! I put The Guardian by Nicholas Sparks, but I’m not sure I remember a thing about The Rescue come to think of it! :O

    Another one for the list!

  6. It is so weird and frustrating how we read tons and tons of books, but when someone asks us the plot, the name of the main characters or something, we just draw a blank, haha. I have read a couple of Nicholas Sparks’ novels, but… if you ask me to name you the characters, I couldn’t answer, hahahaha, that’s so bad 😛
    Great post! 🙂
