Ten Books On My Spring TBR 2018!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week’s list is all about the books that we want to read in Spring! I’m working on finding some fabulous debut authors this year, so I’ve decided to read some 2018 debuts for Spring.

The Astonishing Color of After

This book sounds absolutely fabulous! It’s about a girl whose mother commits suicide and she’s convinced that her mother has turned into a bird.

The Exact Opposite of Okay

Love this cover. It might be quite simple but I think it’s effective. It centres around Izzy who has all sorts of rumours flying around school about her.

A Girl Like That

I’m intrigued by this book!

The Midnights

Love this cover and I really like the look of this book!

12 Steps to Normal

This is one of my most anticipated reads for 2018!

Nice Try, Jane Sinner

Blurbed by Becky Albertalli… a definite yes for me!

The Dangerous Art of Blending In

This looks fabulous!

See All the Stars

LOVE the look of this one!

People Like Us

This is another highly anticipated read for me!

You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone

I can’t help but be drawn to contemporary YA!

I’m very excited about my Spring TBR! Let’s hope I can get around to these books!

  1. When I first read about ‘Gone,’ I thought it sounded really good, but I haven’t picked it up yet, so maybe my interested has waned… also, ‘Stars’ has an insanely cool cover, though I haven’t heart of that one! Methinks I need to read more about it. 🙂

    Happy spring TBR-ing, Chrissi.

  2. The Exact Opposite of Okay arrived yesterday, whoop! Don’t know when I’ll read it yet, but preferably before the end of April since I might be going to an event where the author will be as well, haha.
People Like Us is also on my TBR. Sounded intriguing and I couldn’t not buy it when I saw it at the bookstore. 😛

    Nice list!

  3. I absolutely love the cover of “You’ll Miss me When I’m Gone” and I need to read “The Exact Opposite of Okay” as well, because I’ve read great things about it ♥

    Great list =)

  4. I haven’t heard of any of these, but you’re right, several of the covers do look fun. I’m not very good at making/sticking to seasonal tbrs, but my fellow reviewer Astilbe has made a list. Here is her Top Ten Tuesday.

  5. I am really curious about People Like Us. I am not familiar with the other titles you mention, but they sound good as well. I love discovering new authors. 🙂 Have a great week, Chrissi!

  6. SO many of these are new to me. That cover to You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone is so pretty! I hope they all end up being great reads!

  7. The Exact Opposite of OK does have an awesome cover, and so does The Midnights. There are some awesome YA covers right now. People Like Us was fun, I hope you enjoy it!!!

  8. VERY nice list! YMMWIG is one of my faves- it was phenomenal. I am looking forward to quite a few of these others myself, too. I want to read A Girl Like That, Jane Sinner, and See All the Stars a lot. And I want to know how bird-y The Astonishing Color of After is, and then you know, maybe 😀

  9. The Astonishing Color of After is on my TBR pile too, but I don’t know how quickly my library will acquire a copy … so maybe in spring, or maybe in summer — we’ll see! It’s been getting nothing but rave reviews thus far and I am SO READY.

  10. I really enjoyed People Like Us. It is definitely not going to be one for everyone, but I hope you like it. I have Jane Sinner, but haven’t gotten to it yet. It looks fun. Happy reading!

  11. All of these are at the top of my TBR as well! The Exact Opposite of Okay and The Astonishing Color of After just arrived and I can’t wait to dive into them! Also can’t wait to get my hands on A Girl Like That! It sounds truly heartbreaking! Hope you get around to reading them soon!
