Ten Books I Would Slay A Dragon To Get Early

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week’s list is all about books we’d love to get our hands on early. As ever, the book images go to Goodreads if you want to learn more about the books!

Some of this books have been released now, but I would’ve slain a dragon for!

Restore Me- Tahereh Mafi

Restore Me (Shatter Me, #4)

I’m way too excited about this book. I loved the Shatter Me books and I’m intrigued to see where it goes.

Save The Date- Morgan Matson

I adore Morgan Matson’s books so I’m excited about this one!

Leah On The Offbeat- Becky Albertalli

need this book in my life. I would slay a dragon.

A Girl Like That- Tanaz Bhathena

A Girl Like That

I read disturbing and go ‘Ooh, I want to read that!’ What does that say about me!?

You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone- Rachel Lynn Solomon

You'll Miss Me When I'm Gone

I think this book is going to be incredibly sad, but I think it’ll be fabulous.

People Like Us- Dana Mele

People Like Us

An eagerly anticipated read for me!

Love Songs & Other Lies- Jessica Pennington

Love Songs & Other Lies

I need to have plenty of contemporary in my reading horizon because I find them so easy to read alongside my busy teaching career.

The Astonishing Color of After- Emily X.R Pan

The Astonishing Color of After

More Than We Can Tell- Brigid Kemmerer

  1. Why Morgan’s isn’t on my list… I’ll never know! I’m WAY (WAY) excited about that one, so realizing I forgot to include it is a bookish travesty. 🙂

Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland.

  2. I NEARLY added “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone”. You also had the same idea as me, but instead of slay a ‘dragon’ I used a Rancor! XD

  3. I do want to read the Shatter Me books at some point. People Like Us was good! and You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone looks great too

  4. More Than We Can Tell! YES, you must get yourself a copy of that one! It’s probably my favorite read of 2018 so far!

  5. Ooh I’ve read two of these! The Astonishing Colour Of After is a LONG read so be prepared for that but it’s pretty good. I’m on the fence with People Like Us, it was okay but dragged a bit in the middle.

  6. Save the Date is definitely one book I’d love to get my hands on early. It seems like an age since we had a new Morgan Matson book haha.

  7. I only just recently read Simon so I’m really looking forward to Leah’s story. 🙂

  8. Save the Date looks adorable! And I definitely want to read the Jessica Verdi book — I’ve read a couple other by her, and they were so powerful.

  9. Some awesome choices! Can’t wait for Leah on the Offbeat either and I didn’t know that Brigid Kemmerer had a new book, so thanks for the heads up! Definitely adding that one to my Wishlist asap.
