Winter TBR 2018

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week’s list is our Winter TBR. I’ve decided to read more Christmas/Winter-y themed books this year. I’ve picked 5 winter themed books and then 5 I just want to get to. So here are my picks for December!

The Christmasaurus

After really enjoying The Creakers I wanted to read this book by Tom Fletcher!

A Boy Called Christmas

The Girl Who Saved Christmas

Father Christmas and Me

The Truth Pixie

I am trying to find some perfect Christmas reads to use in class. I can’t this year as I have a Jehovah’s Witness, but it’s always nice to search for some Christmas reads for the future.

I’ve read these 4 already this December! Go me… 🙂

Before I Let Go

This does have a winter-y vibe but it has been on my TBR forever. I need to finally get around to it.

Friend Request

The Foster Child: 'a sleep-with-the-lights-on thriller'

The Fear

Mine

The last 5 books are books carried over from my Autumn/Fall TBR that I never got around to. Oops! Hopefully this winter! 🙂

I read Mine recently too! 5 crossed off already…. Will this be the Winter that I complete my TBR?

What have you got on your Winter TBR? Let me know!

  1. I never used to, but in the last 3 years or so, I’ve begun to read seasonal reads November and December, and sometimes into January. It’s fun! Hope you enjoy all of these, Chrissi. Happy winter TBR-ing, and thanks for the Finding Wonderland visit!

  2. My TBR for December has no theme but I did read a Christmas book, The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. I too am making a last push to finish books before the year is over.

  3. These all look so good, Chrissi! I was so excited for the new Jenny Blackhurst, I ordered it early from Book Depositey and unfortunately it’s sitting unread here too! I LOVE HER, so I need to read it soon. Happy reading!

  4. You have some great reads ahead of you this winter! I read and loved The Christmasaurus last year, it’s such a gorgeous and festive novel. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I’ve also read Friend Request, Mine and The Fear and all were really good. Happy reading! 🙂

  5. The Christmasaurus looks ADORABLE and I need to buy it basically! Also, you can’t read the books to ANY of the kids!?! Wow. My daughter has a girl in her class who can’t celebrate anything or talk about Christmas but they make her go sit in the office. Though now I am wondering if that is what she is, too. (I have been trying to figure it out all year because I am a terrible person I guess 😂)

I want to read Before I Let Go too! Perfect cover for winter, anyway! Friend Request and The Fear look good, too! Hope you are able to get to them and enjoy them!

    • No. 😦 Sounds like she is a Jehovah’s witness! We get told that sending them off is isolating them. Luckily he has the week off this week so I’m going ALL out this week to make up for it.

  6. I don’t think I’ve even heard of most of these… (or any of them? Before I Let Go sounds familiar…). Anyway. Hope you have a good holiday season!

Comments make me smile and I love to reply to them! Thanks for visiting today!
