Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.
This week’s Top Ten list is all about our favourite books that we read in 2018. I like doing these sorts of posts because I get to look back at the books I’ve read!
In no particular order, here’s my list… book images go to Goodreads!
This was a beautiful read. I didn’t want it to end because I knew what was going to happen at the end. It was a really incredible read. I love Adam Silvera’s writing.
Another fantastic writer here. Heather Demetrios is amazing. I highly recommend her books. This one was heavy going but so worth the read.
I’d had this book on my radar and was so pleased I made time for it in 2018. I thought it was amazing. So not what I expected.
Another unexpected gem!
I love Matt Haig’s writing, if you hadn’t guessed.
I bloomin’ loved this book! 🙂 It’s hard-going but so beautifully written.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I thought it was really unique.
I adored this book! So much so, that I’m reading it with my book club at school! 🙂
This was a beautifully written book!
I read some cracking debut authors in 2018 and this was another one! 🙂
I’m reading They Both Die at the End right now and it’s on track to be my first read of 2019. So far, I’m really enjoying my time with the characters and I’m sure it’s going to make me cry!
❤ It's such a gorgeous book. I hope you continue t enjoy it!
How To Stop Time looks fun! I’m totally unfamiliar with that one, but that cover is cool and it looks worth checking out. 🙂
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Greg! 🙂 It’s a great book. Matt Haig is a terrific writer.
A Thousand Perfect Notes wasn’t my fave read of 2018, but I still enjoyed it. Looks like you read some great books this year 🙂

I really did! Thank you.
🙂
I am seeing A Thousand Perfect Notes on a lot of people’s lists today. I think I need to add it to my GoodReads TBR. 🙂
It’s a brilliant YA read.
Wonderful list! I’m so glad to see A List of Cages on there, what an amazing story! Happy reading in 2019!! 🙂
My Top 10 Books of 2018
Thanks Erica. I really enjoyed it!
I’m so mad I missed getting They Both Die at the End when it was on sale a few days ago. UGH. But Close to Home sounds like my kind of book.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
It was such a good book! I highly recommend it.
I haven’t read any of these, but they all look like fantastic reads. I’m especially intrigued by How to Stop Time. Happy New Year! 🙂
Happy New Year, Ashley!
I have A Thousand Perfect Notes but haven’t read it yet. I’ll have to get to it soon!
I highly recommend it.
I must get to They Both Die at the End this year. So glad to see it on your list. Hope you enjoy the New Year!
I think you’re going to love it! 🙂
A Thousand Perfect Notes. Definitely have to make time to read it this year. I might joke about how I can’t pass up a good Amazon sale (when I got this one), but at least I won’t have to wait for this to become available at the library when I get to it. It’s in my TBR jar for this month.
Yippee! Fingers crossed that you enjoy it!
I haven’t read any from your list but I did see They Both Die at the End. Glad to hear you enjoyed it despite the ending. I’m thinking the title isn’t lying? Thanks for stopping by my TTT.
It certainly isn’t lying… but it’s worth the read!
Happy new year! I got How To Stop Time for Christmas in 2017 but still haven’t read it – seeing that it’s on your best books of 2018 list today has made me want to make an effort to read it very soon. Hope your 2019 is full of fabulous books! 🙂
Thank you Hayley! Same to you! 🙂
They Both Died At The End broke my damn heart. Such a great list!! I hope 2019 is filled of 5 star books! 🙂
I know! It was such a sad but wonderful book!
I loved How To Stop TIme! Such a gorgeous book — in fact, I should probably read it again. And I’d really like to read They Both Die At the End. Great list!
🙂 Thanks Lisa! I really enjoyed both books that you mentioned.
I ended up reading very little YA this past year. It feels odd to be out of the loop on YA titles. My 2018 Favs Happy New Year!
It is funny how quickly you can feel out of the loop with YA!
I adored TBDATE and I’ve heard amazing things about A List of Cages! I hope I can pick up ATPN sometime this year! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Niamh. I hope you can pick them up! 🙂
I’m hoping to read A Thousand Perfect Notes this month! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier. 🙂
🙂 I hope that you love it! You’re welcome. Thanks for the return visit.
I gave The Creakers to my goddaughter for Christmas so really pleased to see it on your list as I didn’t get round to reading it before wrapping it for her
I’d already posted about my top ten books of 2018 so I’m talking about the books I’d be stuck on a desert island with in this week’s TTT
Great idea Sarah! 🙂 I’ll check out your post. You definitely made the right choice with buying The Creakers for your goddaughter!
They Both Die At The End and A List Of Cages are on my TBR list, so I’m glad you liked them. Happy 2019!
Fabulous! I hope you love them as much as I did!
What a diverse list! I have had A Thousand Perfect Notes and They Both Die At The End in my tbr for a while now. I also planned to read Bad Romance but then kept delaying it. I guess I’m daunted by the fact that it looks to be such a difficult read!
Thank you so much! Bad Romance is tough to read but worth persevering with.
Ooh such a good list of books! I definitely need to read A List of Cages!
Thank you so much! I highly recommend it.
Close to Home is one I’ve tried reading, but couldn’t quite get into — but i think you’ve piqued my curiosity about it again. I need to give it another go.
It’s not for everyone! I’d give it another go and then decide! 🙂
I’ve had Bad Romance on my virtual shelf for the longest time. I really need to read it. Great list Chrissi!
It’s so worth it! It’s a tough read, but so good!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen ‘Love Letter’ on GR or any bookish list. But WOW! That cover is gorgeous, and makes me want to take a second look. 🙂 Glad you discovered some amazing reads in 2018, Chrissi. Happy 2019, and thanks so much for the Finding Wonderland visit.
Thank you Rissi! It’s always lovely to have a comment from you. I hope you like the look of these books!
LOVE your choices! I also really loved They Both Die and A Thousand Perfect Notes- so good! And I must read A List of Cages and Jane Sinner, I have heard so many good things about them both. So glad these books were such wins for you!
Ooh I highly recommend both of those books Shannon. I think you’ll love them!
I loved Jane Sinner, so I’m glad you did too! I need to read, They Both Die at the End!
It’s so good!
Excellent list! I loved Bad Romance and They Both Die At The End as well and a lot of the others are on my TBR.
🙂 Both wonderful books! I hope you enjoy the ones on your TBR!
LOL at the first title. Well at least they’re up front about it?
Yup! Major spoiler alert.
Great list, Chrissi! I need to cross How to Stop Time off my TBR this year – it sounds right up my street. 🙂
It is a wonderful one!
Great list. I still really need to read A Thousand Perfect Notes. It is judging me from my shelf. It is like having Cait stare at you…
Haha! I agree!
