Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward To In The First Half of 2019!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week’s list is our most anticipated releases for the first half of 2019. Now, I have to admit, I haven’t really looked into books in 2019 yet! I’m trying to keep up with my backlist, but it’s a struggle I tell you- a struggle!

Here are the books I’ve come up with (book image goes to Goodreads!)

The Similars (The Similars, #1)

This book sounds very intriguing. It looks like it’ll be part of a series too, which is interesting! It’s been a while since I’ve read a sci-fi esque book.

Girls with Sharp Sticks

I’m intrigued to read another book by Suzanne Young. It’s been a while since I’ve read a book by her. This sounds very dystopian!

Again, But Better

I thought I recognised the author’s name! This is Polandbananasbooks (A well knownYoutuber) novel! I’m excited to see what this book is like.

These Witches Don't Burn

I like witchy books and this is a witchy book!

99 Percent Mine

I still need to read The Hating Game but I’m aiming to do that soon!

Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss

Love Kasie West! It doesn’t take much for her to appear on my lists. She’s one of my favourite contemporary ‘fluff’ writers.

The Bride Test

I like the sounds of this book! Again, I need to read a book from the author- The Kiss Quotient- but I’ve heard good things about that one.

There's Something About Sweetie

I enjoyed When Dimple Met Rishi, so I’m looking forward to reading this one (again, need catch up with her prior release!)

Famous in a Small Town

This book just sounds sweet and I like a sweet read!

A.G. Howard always has such stunning covers! I’m looking forward to reading this book. It sounds fabulous. It’s inspired by The Princess and The Pea.

What are you looking forward to reading this year?

  1. The Bride Test looks cute. One good thing about doing this activity, now I am really excited about a few upcoming books. Since I usually don’t pay attention to releases this is a new position for me. Hope you get to read a few of your anticipated books. My Anticipated Releases

  2. Three cheers for Kasie West (of course!), and yay for Christine’s, too. While I know I’ll enjoy Kasie’s, I’m hopeful, I’ll also like Christine’s as well. Also, “The Similar’s” is one I’ve seen around, but haven’t read up on. I think I need to remedy this! Happy reading – and thanks so much for the Finding Wonderland visit, Chrissi. 🙂

  3. Thanks for the heads up on these! I enjoy Kaysie West as well, but I am super-excited for the new Menon! I adored When Dimple Met Rishi and From Twinkle with Love!

  4. Great list, Chrissi! It didn’t make my list this week, but I’m looking forward to These Witches Don’t Burn, too. The cover of Famous in a Small Town is so pretty!

  5. Famous in a Small Town… probably should have been on my list. I’m a big fan of Emma Mills’ writing, especially how she writes friendships.

  6. Oh wow, I see a few here I’ll need to read! I’m just now listening to When Dimple Met Rishi, but I’m enjoying it so much that I’m sure I’ll want to read more by this author. I’m looking forward to 99 Percent Mine and The Bride Test too. And I love the cover of The Similars — don’t know anything about it, but the cover image makes me want to find out. Enjoy!

  7. I love Kasie West’s books too! And this one sounds great. I’ve not read anything by Emma Mills, but her books sounds so intriguing! The LGBT witchy one looks fun as well. I think we’re both going to enjoy 2019! 😄

  8. I swear I cheer like a hyperactive sports fan anytime someone includes A.G. Howard on their lists! I’m so excited for Stain, too, and you’re totally right. The covers for her book are so swoon-worthy. Beyond. That being said, a lot of these sounds great too! I love the cover for The Similars. Ah!

  9. I just started 99 Percent Mine! And yes, you definitely still need to read The Hating Game. One of my all time favorite contemporary romances. 🙂

  10. I’m looking forward to Stain, These Witches Don’t Burn, and Girls With Sharp Sticks, as well! They all have amazing covers and sound like good stories. I hope we both enjoy them 😀 Another book I’m looking forward to releases this month – Firestarter by Tara Sim, which is the last book in the Timekeeper trilogy. I can’t wait to read it!
