Ten Books I Meant To Read In 2018 But Didn’t Get Around To

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week we’re looking at 10 books that we intended to read in 2018 but didn’t get around to. As ever, book images go to Goodreads.

When The Curtain Falls

I am intrigued by this book because I’ve heard really mixed reviews. Hopefully I’ll get around to it soon!

People Like Us

Oh my goodness. I’ve mentioned wanting to read this for so long now. I need to make it a priority really.

Sam & Ilsa's Last Hurrah

I really like David Levithan, so goodness knows why I haven’t got around to this yet.

The Dangerous Art of Blending In

I need to get to this book. I’ve had it for long enough…

Magic Under Stone (Magic Under, #2)

This one is coming up soon for me! I have to do it.

The Visitor

I really need to start reading K.L. Slater. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this author.

Where the Missing Go

I love a good thriller and I intended to read this in December! I might get to it this month though.

The Fear

This is the only C.L. Taylor book that I haven’t read yet, I need to read it!

The Careful Undressing of Love

I adore this cover. I really liked the sound of this when I came across it in 2017, but I’m yet to read it.

Words on Bathroom Walls

This book really appealed me because I enjoy reading books about mental health. I hope to try and read it this year.

What did you intend to read in 2018 but didn’t get around to? Have you read any of these books? Let me know!

  1. Yaas to K. L Slater. Currently reading her latest title and it is so good. I think my list would have Elanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I have been meaning to reading these books for a while now.

I hope that you will enjoy all the books on your list if you get the chance. Happy reading.

  2. I don’t think I’ve heard of the author or even seen the book around the blogosphere, but the cover of ‘Magic’ looks REALLY interesting. Hope you enjoy all of these in 2019, Chrissi – happy 2018-in-2019 reading! 🙂

  3. I’ve yet to read any of these books, but the David Levithan one should definitely have been on my list for this week – I was so excited when it was announced, so I don’t know why I keep putting it off.

  4. I really want to read People Like Us too! Everybody was talking about it, I hope it lives up to the hype. I got The Visitor on Kindle not so long ago.
Hope you enjoy all of them once you read them! 🙂

  5. I haven’t read any of these either! I really would love to read The Careful Undressing of Love though. I also really loved the sound of it but I do believe I forgot all about it. lol

  6. I still need to get to People Like Us and I’m really excited to! Anyways, some of these titles are new to me but so so so intriguing. Here’s to hoping you get to them and enjoy reading each title here! Happy reading.
