Top Ten Places In Books That I’d Love To Visit

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week’s list is all about places mentioned in books that we’d love to visit! Some are fictional, some are real places I’d love to go to.

  1. Hogwarts– Are you a Harry Potter fan if you wouldn’t want to go to Hogwarts?
  2. Furthermore– Tahereh Mafi- Another magical world? I’m down for that.
  3. Narnia– Can you tell I’m into magic at the moment? I think it would be fascinating to visit Narnia.
  4. The bookshop Belle visits– Yep, I’m making that a thing. I want to swing on the ladder! I’ve always wanted to be Belle.
  5. Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory– Mmm. A place of pure imagination!

  1. San Francisco– Lola and The Boy Next Door made me want to go to San Francisco even more.
  2. Tuscany– Love & Gelato- I desperately want to see more of Italy.
  3. New York– There’s so many wonderful books set in New York. I’d love to visit one day.
  4. Paris– I’ve still only been to Disneyland…
  5. Miami– Mara Dyer- I realise most of these places are America… but I do really want to visit one day!

Where do you want to visit? Have you focused on real or fictional? Let me know!

  1. Tuscany, and Paris! How marvelous both of those would be. Also, YES! I’d totally swing on Belle’s ladder too. Just because. Ooo, and three cheers for Narnia! How do we make this happen!? 🙂

Thanks so much for the visit to Finding Wonderland.

  2. Italy is definitely a must-see for me. Tuscany, Rome, doesn’t really matter. I’d just like to make it there. 🙂

  3. That scene in Beauty and the Beast made me feel very strongly that a *real* library/bookstore needs a ladder. After going to Wizarding World, I only have more of a need to go to Hogwarts. If only…sigh.

  4. Great list! I’ve been to Florence but I’d love to go back and see more of the Tuscan countryside. I know exactly what you mean about that bookshop – I really want to go wheeling about on one of those ladders, partcularly if I could do it in the Beast’s library.

  5. Narnia was on my list when I did this in October. I’d also like to visit Belle’s library. I think I’ve driven through Tuscany before on my way to Florence (I used to live in Italy).

I’d like to see Paris too!

  6. I’ve been to San Francisco and I loved it! The hills really are treacherous though, so make sure the car you are driving is an automatic and not stick shift, otherwise you are in some trouble.

When I was in high school I worked in a book store that had ladders like that! After the store closed my friends and I would push each other on the ladders, it was fun.

Comments make me smile and I love to reply to them! Thanks for visiting today!
