Winger (Winger, #1) Unboxed The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2)

NOWWingerAndrew Smith– I am almost halfway through Winger which I’m enjoying much more than I had anticipated. Andrew Smith’s writing is very different and I’m enjoying reading about the main character. It hasn’t got a strong, packed full plot but there’s something about it…

THENUnboxed- Non Pratt– This book didn’t take me long to read at all. It’s a very sweet story about friendship.

NEXTThe Sea Of MonstersRick Riordan– Next up, in the kid-lit challenge I’m completing with my sister Beth, is the next book in the Percy Jackson series. I’m eager to read this one!

Release  As I Descended Unboxed

NOW ReleasePatrick Ness– I am almost finished the latest book from Patrick Ness. I’m not enjoying it as much as I usually do, but it’s still a decent read. I just have very high expectations when it comes to the Ness.

THENAs I Descended- Robin Talley– I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I’ve had mixed feelings about her releases so far. I loved her debut novel and couldn’t stand the next release, so I was apprehensive about reading this one! I hope to put my review up ASAP.

NEXTUnboxedNon Pratt– I’ve had this book for a while now and it’s really time to get around to it! I have loved Non Pratt’s books, so I’m excited to see what I make of this one.

I’m very pleased by this blue theme I seem to have going on this week! Ha! What are you reading this week? Let me know!

As I Descended If I Was Your Girl Release

NOWAs I DescendedRobin Talley– I’m currently just over 60 pages through this book which is good so far. I was a little cautious going into reading it, as I loved the author’s debut, but then didn’t enjoy her next book. So far, so good!

THENIf I Was Your GirlMeredith Russo– Hmmm…I didn’t love this book as much as I wanted to, which was a shame. It includes a transgender character. I’m hoping to get a review out for this tomorrow!

NEXT- ReleasePatrick Ness- This book is totally getting bumped to the top of my TBR because… it’s Patrick Ness. There need not be another answer!

One Italian Summer Girlhood A Snicker of Magic

NOWOne Italian Summer Keris Stainton– I’m just about to start this book which looks like an ideal contemporary read. I’ve read other books by this author before, so I’m looking forward to it!

THEN Girlhood Cat Clarke– I enjoyed this book. Cat Clarke doesn’t always write about easy subjects. It’s about girls’ at boarding school. It’s not my favourite book by Cat, but it’s still a decent read.

NEXTA Snicker Of MagicNatalie Lloyd- This book is the next in the Kid-Lit series that I do with my sister, Beth. Our review will be out on Sunday! I’ve heard a lot of good things about this book, so I’m looking forward to it!

The Sudden Appearance of Hope Habibi Countless

NOWThe Sudden Appearance Of HopeClaire North– I have just started this book which was recommended to me and sent to me as part of my Mr B’s Reading Year Subscription. I’m intrigued to see what I make of it as I wasn’t that blown away by the author’s debut, but I’m always willing to try another book by the author!

THEN- HabibiCraig Thompson– I finished this graphic novel yesterday. It’s a beast of a book at over 600 pages and it’s not necessarily an ‘easy’ read. It tells the story of refugee slaves bound together. There are some incredibly dark moments within the story. Very dark moments. It is one of our Banned Books that my sister and I review on the last Monday of a month, so please come back for our review if you’re interested.

NEXTCountlessKaren Gregory– I’m very intrigued to read this book which centres around mental health. I’m always intrigued by books that touch on this subject.
