5 Potential 5 Star Reads On My TBR #4

This is the fourth post of this kind here on Chrissi Reads. The original post was inspired by my sister, Beth over at Bibliobeth. She was inspired by one of her favourite book-tubers Mercedes from Mercy’s Bookish Musings .

Mercedes posted a video trying to predict which five books would get the five star treatment in her TBR. She then wrapped up with a video to see if her predictions were correct. Like Beth, I’m not going to subject you to a video. No-one wants to see me on a video!

Last time I got 0 at 5 stars out of my predictions! I did come very close though. Check out my wrap up post HERE.

Here are the books that I think have potential to get 5 stars from me…

I pre-ordered this book but I’m yet to get around to it! Hopefully soon. 🙂 I am hoping it’ll be a 5 star read.

Have you read any of these? What did you think? Let me know!

This book was brutal! I did very much enjoy reading it but it wasn’t quite the 5 star that I had anticipated. I gave it 3.5 stars.

Open Your Eyes- Paula Daly

Open Your Eyes

I adore Paula Daly and this book was so close to a 5 star. It didn’t quite get there though. 4 stars.

The Breakdown- B.A. Paris

The Breakdown

This one was SO close to a 5 star. 4.5 stars. There was just something about it that prevented me from giving it 5!

The Dangerous Art Of Blending In- Angelo Surmelis

The Dangerous Art of Blending In

Another one that was close! This was an intense, darker read. I thought it was a very accomplished debut! 4 stars.

So, I may not have predicted any 5 star reads but aside from the Louise O’Neill book, I was very close! These books didn’t let me down. Look out for my new 5 star predictions coming soon! 🙂

This is such an important book with stories from authors that have been bullied or have bullied themselves. I gave it 4 stars.

So only 1 5 star read out of my predictions! I’m pleased that I did get one right though! I shall do this again as it’s been a lot of fun! 🙂
