The A-Z Of Me- Part 2

I came across this post through Nicki. The original post comes from Splodz and The Urban Wanderer. Like Nicki, I thought I’d split this post too, so it didn’t become too long. Here are my answers! To look at A-M please check my first post HERE.

N is for Naples. I’d like to visit one day.

O is for outdoor learning. Something I’m passionate about in my teaching.

P is for pyjamas. I love getting comfy in my pjs and reading!

Q is for quirky. I love the word. I love teaching children that are a little bit quirky!

R is for rabbit. One of my favourite animals.

S is for sloth. They’re so cute. Don’t deny it.

T is for theatre. Another passion of mine.

U is for university. I’ve been twice (or three times if you count dropping out of a PhD!)

V is for variety. I feel like the range of books I read now is much more diverse than it used to be.

W is for walking. So far this year, I’ve walked over 100 miles. I do it to increase my fitness and clear my mind.

X is for xylophone! Ha. This is such a stupid one, but I used to love to ‘play’ the xylophone when I was at primary school.

Y is for YALC. I’ve been two times to this book convention in London. It was a big achievement for me because I feel very uncomfortable in crowds.

Z is for zany. Another word I love. Why don’t we use that word more often? I can tell you that I teach a few zany children at the moment!

My baby turns 5 today. 5 YEARS of blogging. My my.

As always I want to say a big thank you to every single person that has visited my blog. Whether today is your first visit or you’re regularly visiting… THANK YOU. I appreciate each and every one of you.

My blog may not be massively successful statistically, but I’m proud of how far its come and how many wonderful people I’ve met along the way (some in real life too!) I love interacting with like minded people. Your comments mean the world to me. This year I’ve hit quite a few milestones of my own and I’m super proud of myself.

As it is a 5 year anniversary I’ve decided to slightly change my annual giveaway by adding one more book!

5 books of the winner’s choice from Amazon or The Book Depository- (the only limitations are textbooks and ridiculously priced books, but this will be discussed with the winner 🙂 )

Enter here!

The giveaway is international, it runs for a week with the winner being contacted on 5th January 2018! If you are under 18, please make sure you have permission to give out your address. Addresses will only be used to enter delivery information and will not be stored. Good luck!

Top Ten Tuesday Freebie- Top Ten Odd Search Terms

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful The Broke and The Bookish. I thought I’d put up a Top Ten post today although there’s no official prompt this week. I thought I’d go for a freebie! I’m going to list ten odd search terms that have somehow managed to hit my blog! This is all in good fun and I don;t mean any offence by it!

  1. How to direct a friend to your school
  2. Short story about my room
  3. Semalt expert
  4. Dares to do in public
  5. She swam in her school uniform (That would be inconvenient!)
  6. Cigarette meaning
  7. Do books affect religion?
  8. Shall I finish my Primary PGCE? (If it’s something you want to do…yes. It gets better!)
  9. Who should review a book? (Anyone that wants to!)
  10. Death of young Chrissi  (this one really freaked me out!)

Have you decided to do a Top Ten post today? Feel free to leave a link to your post and I’ll stop by!

Today is my fourth year anniversary. 4 YEARS. I am so proud of my blog. It may not be the most well known blog in the world but it’s my little area of the internet and I love it. I’m still so passionate about my book blog 4 years down the line. I really think that I’ve grown as a blogger in these 4 years and I’m looking forward to whatever is next for my blog. I could possibly reach a huge milestone in the next few weeks and I’m ever so excited!

To thank everyone that visits Chrissi Reads, I would like to run my annual giveaway once more.

4 books of the winner’s choice from Amazon or The Book Depository- (the only limitations are textbooks and ridiculously priced books, but this will be discussed with the winner 🙂 )

The giveaway is international, it runs for a week with the winner being contacted on 5th January 2017! If you are under 18, please make sure you have permission to give out your address. Addresses will only be used to enter delivery information and will not be stored.

Congratulations to Cleo for winning the giveaway ❤

Chrissi Chat: Let’s talk content…

Yes, it’s time for another chatty, non-book related post. I’ve been thinking a lot about my blog content recently. I love taking part in the Top Ten memes and love the collaborations I’m doing. But I wonder if it’s all getting a bit stale? I mean, I still enjoy blogging, but I’m wondering if my blog is still interesting to read.

I’ve never really been one for cover reveals, nothing against them (of course), but for me they’re not what I love to put out. I think the most important thing about blogging is being really interested in the content you produce. I personally really enjoy posts which you can tell a lot of thought has gone into.

During my teacher training year I really enjoyed putting out a diary entry every Sunday, it was also well received with some people still reading those posts now. I’m considering going back to a diary/teacher life post, but then I’m worried that the identity of my blog will change and I may lose people who only want to read about books. Now I’m not saying that I want a complete revamp. My blog will always be a book blog. I’m just considering the options I have…

What do you think? Should blogs stick to one subject so it’s obvious what it’s about? Should we change up our blogs to keep it fresh? Let me know!
