This week is the last week that Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish and I just want to thank them for hosting for so long. It really is a commitment and I’ll always be grateful to them for introducing me to so many blogs and in turn, so many books. Thank you ladies!
This week’s list is all about those books that we meant to read in 2017 but never got around to them. There are a few of these and most of them were debuts! It’s my goal this year to read more debut authors, so I’ve focused mainly on 2017 debuts.
I was so excited about this book in 2016 when I heard about it, so goodness knows why I hadn’t read it yet. I’m hoping to read it ASAP!
I am excited that this is based in Tokyo. I don’t think I’ve read anything set there before. It looks like a fab contemporary read.
This is another one that I had on my radar and never got around to!
I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this book that it’s definitely become a priority for me to read in 2018.

Love the sound of this book! 🙂 I enjoy exploring books that centre around mental health and this one includes a character with depression.
This book sounds incredibly heavy-going as it explores rape culture.
I am so intrigued by this book, it centres around a character with schizophrenia.

I have to include a typical contemporary on this list, since it takes us over summer. Kasie West’s writing is adorable and so easy to read!
I enjoyed this author’s debut novel, so I’m intrigued to pick up another book by her!

The Hate U Give- Angie Thomas
I’ve heard a lot about this book already and I’m excited for it to be released. It is inspired by The Black Lives Matter movement.
The Hidden Memory of Objects-
I read emotional and thrilling in the synopis and I was pretty much sold! I love the cover of this one too.
One Of Us Is Lying- Karen M.McManus
I’m looking forward to this one mainly because I’ve judged it by its cover and I think it looks like it’s going to be awesome!
The Hundred Lives of Lizzie Lovett- Chelsea Sedoti
I have heard good things about this book too, so I’m looking forward to finally checking it out in 2017!
Girl Out Of Water- Laura Silverman
This looks like another emotional read. I love the simple cover.
It Started With Goodbye- Christina June
A modern take on the Cinderella arc? I’m in!
The Disappearances- Emily Bain Murphy
Oooh. I like the sound of this one. Love the cover, love the fantasy sound of it.
The Education of Margot Sanchez- Lilliam Rivera
I think this sounds like such an important read! It’s billed as a coming-of-age novel about dysfunctional families. Intrigued!
Seven Days Of You-
I can’t help but put a cute contemporary looking book on my list! 🙂 This one looks like it could be a bit of a heartbreaker too!
A List Of Cages- Robin Roe
I love stories that include characters with ADHD. I have high hopes for this one!
