Top Ten Tuesday: Audio Special- Favourite Songs From Musicals

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.

This week we are thinking about audio of any kind. Since I don’t listen to audiobooks, I decided to think about my favourite songs from musicals… my other passion.

In no particular order, here they are!

  1. Defying Gravity– Wicked
  2. No Good Deed– Wicked
  3. So Much Better– Legally Blonde
  4. A Pharaoh’s Story– Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
  5. The Music Of The Night– Phantom Of The Opera
  6. Don’t Rain On My Parade– Funny Girl
  7. Circle Of Life– The Lion King
  8. On My Own– Les Miserables
  9. Almost Paradise– Footloose
  10. I Know It’s Today- Shrek

What have you done for the list this week? I think this week could have some very unique lists! Feel free to leave a link to your post and I’ll stop by!

Top Ten Theatre Shows

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they come up with a list for us to complete. This week’s list is other kinds of stories. I don’t tend to watch a lot of TV, but I visit the theatre a lot, so this week I’ve come up with a theatre list!

In no particular order:

Footloose

I’ve seen Footloose about 4 times in the theatre. I don’t know what it is about it, but I adore the show. This trailer isn’t the best example, but it ends up very feel good. I love it.

Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

I have seen Joseph so many times! I’ve seen many different people play Joseph. It may be cheesy, but it’s a great night out!

West Side Story

It might be a tearjerker, but the dancing is amazing.

Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde is another cheesy one, but I just can’t help it. It makes me feel good 😀 All that pink!

Pygmalion/My Fair Lady

I have seen My Fair Lady as a musical and its play Pygmalion. I enjoyed both!

Flare Path

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Terence Rattigan’s Flare Path a few years ago in London. Some terrific actors including Sheridan Smith (pictured above)

Lord Of The Flies

I was in the minority of people that liked this book when we read it at 15. I’ve continued to re-read it and I adored an outdoor theatre production I saw a few years back.

To Kill A Mockingbird

I couldn’t find a photo or production shot of the theatre production I saw of this book. It was amazing though. I read To Kill A Mockingbird after I left school and I’ve re-read it since. A wonderful classic.

Love Story

lovestory

I saw the London production of Love Story. It was heart-breaking. One of the only theatre shows to make me cry.

Wicked

Ahhh, last but not least, the very popular Wicked. I absolutely adore this show. I wasn’t as keen on the book, but the stage production blew me away.

What are your favourite TV shows/movies/etc? Please feel free to leave your link to your Top Ten Tuesday and I’ll come and visit!
