Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they come up with a list for us to complete. This week the topic is Top Ten Books I’m Not Sure I Want To Read (books you may have bought but aren’t sure if you are into it anymore, books you wanted to read but heard mixed things about, hyped books you aren’t sure about — basically any book that has you going, “TO READ OR NOT TO READ?”)
I’ve gone for hyped books that I’m yet to read and I’m unsure whether to read…
So here are mine in no particular order! (Click on the book cover for the Goodreads page!)
Water For Elephants– Sara Gruen
I’ve heard so much about this book that I feel like I’ve overhyped it! I feel like it’s a book that I should like, but I’m not sure I would.
City of Bones– Cassandra Clare
Oh the struggle I have with this! I know that I should read it because everyone loves it so much, but if I’m honest, I’m not sure it’s my sort of thing and I’m not sure I want to commit to another long series. Hmm. Is it worth it?
Shiver– Maggie Stiefvater
Maggie Stiefvater is an author I’ve wanted to check out for ages, but again I’m not sure I want to commit to a series. I have a problem of wanting to see a series through and if I don’t like it then I’ll be annoyed! I don’t know if I’m missing out. Argh, the struggles of a bookworm.
Incarnate– Jodi Meadows
Are you starting to see a theme here? There are so many series on my radar that I’m far too nervous to start. One, in case it’s rubbish and two, in case I’m so sucked in I have to find time to marathon them!
Anna Dressed In Blood- Kendare Blake
This book sounds a bit spooky, and I’m not the biggest fan of spooky. But is it worth it?
The Girl of Fire and Thorns– Rae Carson
I am so intrigued by this book, but I’m not the biggest fantasy reader. Does that matter? I don’t know.
Born Wicked- Jessica Spotswood
I’m intrigued. Pure and simple.
The Immortal Rules– Julie Kagawa
This is where I admit that I haven’t read any Julie Kagawa before. I’m intrigued by this book but I’m a bit over vampires. I’m wondering whether this book stands out in the genre.
Easy– Tammara Webber
I’m not a big fan of the New Adult genre, but I hear that this book is very good?
Half-Blood– Jennifer L.Armentrout
Again, this is a series problem. Is it worth investing in?
