Top Ten Books I’m Not Sure If I Want To Read

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely The Broke and The Bookish. Each week they come up with a list for us to complete. This week the topic is Top Ten Books I’m Not Sure I Want To Read (books you may have bought but aren’t sure if you are into it anymore, books you wanted to read but heard mixed things about, hyped books you aren’t sure about — basically any book that has you going, “TO READ OR NOT TO READ?”)

I’ve gone for hyped books that I’m yet to read and I’m unsure whether to read…

So here are mine in no particular order! (Click on the book cover for the Goodreads page!)

Water For ElephantsSara Gruen

I’ve heard so much about this book that I feel like I’ve overhyped it! I feel like it’s a book that I should like, but I’m not sure I would.

City of BonesCassandra Clare

Oh the struggle I have with this! I know that I should read it because everyone loves it so much, but if I’m honest, I’m not sure it’s my sort of thing and I’m not sure I want to commit to another long series. Hmm. Is it worth it?

ShiverMaggie Stiefvater

Maggie Stiefvater is an author I’ve wanted to check out for ages, but again I’m not sure I want to commit to a series. I have a problem of wanting to see a series through and if I don’t like it then I’ll be annoyed! I don’t know if I’m missing out. Argh, the struggles of a bookworm.

IncarnateJodi Meadows

Are you starting to see a theme here? There are so many series on my radar that I’m far too nervous to start. One, in case it’s rubbish and two, in case I’m so sucked in I have to find time to marathon them!

Anna Dressed In Blood- Kendare Blake

This book sounds a bit spooky, and I’m not the biggest fan of spooky. But is it worth it?

The Girl of Fire and ThornsRae Carson

I am so intrigued by this book, but I’m not the biggest fantasy reader. Does that matter? I don’t know.

Born Wicked- Jessica Spotswood

I’m intrigued. Pure and simple.

The Immortal Rules Julie Kagawa

This is where I admit that I haven’t read any Julie Kagawa before. I’m intrigued by this book but I’m a bit over vampires. I’m wondering whether this book stands out in the genre.

EasyTammara Webber

I’m not a big fan of the New Adult genre, but I hear that this book is very good?

Half-BloodJennifer L.Armentrout

Again, this is a series problem. Is it worth investing in?

As you can tell, most of the books I’ve featured on here are series and I’m unsure whether to invest time in them! What do you think? Are any of your favourites here? What would you recommend? Please let me know and feel free to leave your links to your posts!

I’ve heard so many good things about this book, so I was happy to be approved to read it.

I know I shouldn’t be starting any more series right now (I am in the middle of so many…) but I couldn’t resist getting The Iron King by Julie Kagawa in the kindle sale. I’ve only read one book of Patrick Ness’ but I’ve heard great things about A Monster Calls. I’ve heard amazing things about Not A Drop To Drink by Mindy McGinnis too. I’ve wanted to read All The Truth That’s In Me by Julie Berry and Picture Me Gone by Meg Rosoff for a while now too. So, I was incredibly happy to find all these on sale! I don’t know when I’ll get around to them, but hopefully sooner rather than later.

My lovely Gran bought me these books when we went out together last weekend. She picked up more books than me…. (so that’s where I get it from!) I’m really excited to read the Unwind Dystology. I could do without the comparison to The Hunger Games on the cover, but still. I’ve heard good things! Oops. There’s another series to get through too…

What have you added to your shelves this week? Feel free to link me to your posts and I’ll come and visit your blog!
