I have a HUGE haul this week. This comes from Random House’s blogger brunch, NetGalley, the Amazon kindle sale, my friend Luna lending me books and spending too much time in Foyles. Oops.

Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light & Fun

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature by The Broke and The Bookish. They love making lists and so do I! This week’s list is Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light & Fun.

I’ve realised that most of my ‘light and fun’ do deal with serious issues so I’ve tried to pick books that made me feel good/laugh out loud. Click on the book images to learn more about the book!

In no particular order..

9300

Watermelon by Marian Keyes- Marian Keyes always writes books which I find so easy to read. They’re nice to pick up because I know I’m going to enjoy them.

122043

The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella- Sophie Kinsella is another author that I know I’ll enjoy when I read her. Her books quite often make me laugh out loud.

an-abundance-of-katherines

An Abundance of Katherines by John Green- I’ve read this book recently and enjoyed the more light-hearted John Green!

Probabilityloveatfirstsight

The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E.Smith- It’s such a sweet story. It made me smile.

10890319

Adorkable by Sarra Manning- The title is awesome. The book is good fun.

714985

Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern- I loved that this story was made up of text messages, emails, instant messages etc. It was such a sweet read. I love Cecelia Ahern, she’s my favourite ‘chick-lit’ author.

12163715

The Cupid Effect by Dorothy Koomson- Dorothy Koomson is a great author. I had read some of her other books before I read this one. I found The Cupid Effect so easy to read.

12980294

I Heart London by Lindsey Kelk– I can almost hear my sister sighing from London.. (she hates chick- lit with a passion!) I am a sucker for it though and the ‘I Heart’ series by Lindsey Kelk is perfect chick-lit.

2274457

Johnny Be Good by Paige Toon- I often laugh out loud with Paige Toon’s books. Johnny Be Good combines music/rock stars with perfect chick-lit. A winner for me.

2596345

An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell- Jill Mansell is a fabulous chick-lit writer. I particularly liked the themes in this book!
