Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It’s all about love of lists, love of literature and bringing bookish people together.
This week’s list is all about books that we liked but on recall can’t remember much/anything about! The way I tackled this list is to look at Goodreads and see which books I rated highly but couldn’t tell you much about!
I read this book in 2012. I have no recollection of it whatsoever, but apparently liked it enough to give it 4 stars!
I read this in 2011. I have some recollection of it being moving, but other than that… I got nothing!
I know I enjoyed this book at the time, but without looking at the synopsis, I couldn’t tell you what it was about.
This is another one that I read back in 2011. I can’t remember anything about it! I know my sister enjoyed it!
I adore Philippa Gregory’s writing, so I know I must have enjoyed this book. I’m a bit hazy on its details!
I remember this being quite witty!
Love the title of this book! I remember liking it but being frustrated by the ending. I couldn’t tell you what it’s about though.
I have no idea what this book was about!
I remember liking the characters in this book!
I remember liking this but I couldn’t tell you what it was about!
How about you? Which books can you not recall? Feel free to leave a link to your post and I’ll stop by!
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Every week bloggers make lists of their favourite Top Ten on a given subject. This week’s list is Top Ten Beach Reads. I could add SO many books for this list so it’ll be hard to narrow it down to ten! I’m going to try and use books that I haven’t used for this meme! I’ve defined a beach read as a book that was so easy to read, that captured my interest and made me not want to put it down!
As ever, click on the book image to learn more about the book!
Billy And Me- Giovanna Fletcher– This is a perfect beach read. It’s got the right amount of fluff and seriousness. It’s addictive and easy to read.
Twenty Boy Summer- Sarah Ockler- Such a sweet book, with a serious edge.
One Perfect Summer- Paige Toon- I’ve mentioned how much I love Paige Toon’s books before and this is one of my favourites.
The Novel In The Viola- Natasha Solomons- This is such a charming read. So lovely.
The Beach Café- Lucy Diamond- This is a perfect piece of escapism. You can really tell that Lucy loves Cornwall, as she writes about it so well!
The Summer House- Mary Nichols- This book has such great characters!
Inconceivable- Ben Elton- A fantastic book with a great balance of emotion and humour.
The Other Hand- Chris Cleave- This is another great book with a balance of humour and tragedy.
The Ice Cream Girls- Dorothy Koomson- Dorothy Koomson is a fantastic writer. Some fantastic characters and a gripping storyline.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time- Mark Haddon- I completely fell in love with this book. Such a compelling story.
Please feel free to leave a link to your Top Ten Tuesday list. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be adding lots of books to my TBR pile this week!
